You can either submit an enquiry using our private services form or book a free 30‑minute pre‑assessment video call using the buttons above. The 30‑minute call is for individuals considering a privately funded assessment and is intended to help us confirm that we’re able to provide the most appropriate assessment for you, your child, or your family member. The call doesn’t cover NHS Right to Choose (RTC) enquiries.
Post the pre-assessment call, we will send you an invoice. Once settled, we will send out our pre-assessment questionnaires. For children, this will include a school-based questionnaire or home education questionnaire. At this point, we will also request a GP medical summary from your GP or your NHS app.
When the pre-assessment questionnaires and GP summary have been returned, these will be revised by our clinical team.
Following our clinical review, we’ll reach out to you to arrange assessments. ADHD assessment: 1 assessment slot approximately 2 ½ – 3 hours. Autism assessment: 2 sessions, ADOS/observation assessment approximately 1 hour, and ADI-r assessment up to 2.5 hours.
Post-assessment, the clinical team meets for a multi-disciplinary team discussion, following which you will be called (phone or via video call) with the outcome of your/your child’s/family member’s assessment.
After the outcome, you will receive the diagnostic report and any onward recommendations.
Private Assessment
2-4 week wait time
Note: This is a minimum wait time and may vary. Timelines begin from receipt of completed questionnaires and all required information.
What to expect from your child's private assessment
Our private autism assessments for children provide a clear, supportive pathway from initial enquiry through to diagnosis and recommendations.
Step 1
Enquiry
Once we receive your enquiry, we will contact you to begin your child’s private assessment process.
We’ll gather background information about your child and confirm the appropriate assessment pathway. After payment is received, you will be sent parent and school questionnaires to complete so our clinicians can understand your child’s development, behaviour, and needs.
Step 2
Assessments
We will book your child’s assessment appointments once questionnaires have been reviewed.
Your child will attend a 1-hour ADOS-2 assessment, a structured, play-based session designed to understand communication, social interaction, and behaviour.
A clinician will also complete an ADI-R developmental interview with a parent or caregiver for up to 2.5 hours to explore your child’s early development and current experiences. Following both appointments, clinicians review the information and present your child’s case at a multidisciplinary team meeting.
Step 3
Diagnosis
Our multidisciplinary team will review all information to make a clinical decision.
Your clinician will contact you to discuss the outcome, answer any questions, and explain recommendations. You will also receive a full written report detailing your child’s diagnosis and personalised support recommendations for home and school.

How Our Assessments Are Delivered
At KT Healthcare, the majority of our assessments are delivered online, allowing for flexibility and accessibility whilst maintaining high clinical standards. We also offer face-to-face appointments on request, which take place at our clinic locations in Chichester or Oxfordshire.
Online appointments require a suitable device. You must use a laptop or tablet with camera – mobile phones are not suitable.
For younger children aged 5-7, in-person appointments are required. This ensures assessments are accurate, appropriate, and fully aligned with clinical best practice. Our team will advise you if a face-to-face appointment is necessary based on age and individual needs.

What is Autism?
Autism is a lifelong condition that affects the neurology of roughly 1% of us. It changes the way an individual communicates and experiences the world around them.
Gaining a diagnosis often brings relief and understanding, helping to validate their unique history and perspective.

Social relationships
Exploring how your child interacts with peers and adults, their communication style, friendship patterns, and how they navigate social situations at school and in other settings.
Task organisation and time planning
Understanding your child's ability to organise tasks, follow routines, manage time, and transition between activities—skills important for school and home life
Emotional regulation
Assessing how your child experiences and manages emotions, copes with change or disappointment, and responds to situations that might cause frustration or anxiety
Sensory overload
Looking at how your child responds to sensory experiences like sounds, lights, textures, and smells, and understanding how these might affect their behaviour and wellbeing
