What diagnostic tools do your clinicians use?
Our multidisciplinary team uses gold standard NICE-compliant diagnostic tools. This includes the ADOS-2 and ADI-R protocols to ensure the highest clinical accuracy.
Do you provide ADHD assessments?
Yes we offer comprehensive ADHD assessments for both children and adults.
Do you offer ADHD assessments through Right to Choose?
At present our ADHD assessments are only available via the private self-funded route. We are however developing our ADHD Right to Choose service and our intention is to launch it during 2026.
My child is home educated, will this affect my child's assessment?
In this circumstance, we will seek information another setting your child/young person spends time in, this could be at a group, club or with another relative or friend.
How long does the Autism assessment process take once it begins?
The timeline varies slightly per individual but typically involves initial screening questionnaires a detailed clinical interview and an observational assessment. This is followed by a thorough feedback session and a written report.
Is your service commissioned by the NHS?
Yes, we are fully commissioned by the NHS to carry out autism assessment for adults and children in England. Our reports will be recognised for school/colleges and the EHCP process.
What is the NHS Right to Choose pathway?
The Right to Choose is a legal right for patients in England. It allows you to choose your mental health provider meaning you can access our specialist assessments fully funded by the NHS.
How do I get a referral for Right to Choose?
You need to visit your GP and request a referral to KT Healthcare. We provide a downloadable support letter on our website to help you explain your rights and choices during this appointment.
Will my child's school or Local Authority accept a private diagnosis?
Yes. Because our team is fully HCPC registered and strictly follows NHS and NICE guidelines our comprehensive diagnostic reports are widely recognised by schools and Local Authorities.
Can I access the Right to Choose service more than once?
No. Once you have received a diagnosis using a Right to Choose pathway, this cannot currently be repeated. You would need to speak to your GP about accessing other services.
Do you offer second opinion assessments for patients who already have an NHS or RTC diagnosis?
We are not commissioned to complete second opinion assessments where a patient has already had an NHS or RTC assessment. If the outcome we provide is contended, you will need to speak with your GP about local second opinion pathways and procedures.
Can I use the Right to Choose pathway for ADHD?

Are Right to Choose assessments completely free?
Yes. If you are eligible and referred correctly by your GP the entire assessment process is fully funded by the NHS with no cost to you.
I suffer from social anxiety, are you able to provide an online assessment?
Yes, our services are predominantly online. For children aged 5-7 are however required to be seen in-person.
Does my school send a referral letter to you or my GP?
No. Once we have a referral from your GP and you've supplied us with school details, we will contact the education setting and ask them to complete our questionnaire.
Do you consider how conditions like masking can affect the way autism presents in a person?
Our clinicians are specially trained and will take this in to account during the assessment.
What age group do you assess for autism?
We offer comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for adults and children aged 5 and above.
Do we need to fill out a form on your website?
No, we require a referral from your GP for the Right to Choose assessment.
I am an adult, what does the informant mean?
An 'informant' is someone who knows you well and who can be part of your autism assessment. Ideally this is a parent/guardian who knew you age 4-5. If this is not possible for you, an 'informant' can be a partner or friend who knows you well.
Who is eligible for Right to Choose assessments?
Anyone living in England who is registered with an NHS GP practice is eligible to request a referral to our service under this pathway.
Do you offer ADHD assessments on Right to Choose?
We are only commissioned by the NHS for Autism Assessments on Right to Choose. We are however developing our ADHD Right to Choose service, and our intention is to launch it during 2026.
